just unbolt it and pull the locking unit out of ur old door....all comes out in one..bolted to the door jam...u need to unclip the wire rod linking to the door handle, both inner and outer and the one to the door pin...tricky as u cant see it but im sure u'll work it out.

then bolt that into the place where the non c/l one was on the new door...feed the wires thru coming out of ur pillar...link up the rods...and hey presto.

me door is on me car now and the central locking is working too.

the only problem now is the door seems to be a bit low (a few mm) ,it locks and all but hits the hinge while closing and lifts up

by the way , the key does not operate the central locking from the pasengers side for some reason but the whole system locks and unlocks (inc the boot Laughing ) from drivers side .

can it be to do with the rod link from the lock to the central locking motor ????

drivers lock is the only lock that will unlock the whole car and only off the key.

if the hinge pins are not worn (new ones are pennies) then the reason thre back doors off is the shell is bent which isn;t surprising as it wasn;t exactly a light nudge.

learnt something new about the lock Laughing cheers

if you are referring to round spacer type thingies going into the hinges before the bolts ??? they were a bit cracked and rusted probably worn as well . how do i get them out ?? and where will i buy the new ones from ?????

dont think this is about the damage ,as i looked from the inside of the car while operating the door .it doesnot catch any thing else but the hinge

dont scare me now after i have gone all the way with this car
"BENT" is a very offensive word

will check where the door exactly sits when shut and take it from there
