Tis good if you have a steady income, and at least you don't need to worry about running out.

If you phone up and say that you have a small child, you have no where else to go and you need connected within 24hours they will do it.

when I moved into mine they said two weeks to connect a new property, got my maw to phone up and say the above and the engineer turned up the following morning.

Cable ain't my thing really, would be different if it was sky. Sky is easy because they cannot monitor people pointing dishes at a point in the sky, and they use one encryption method and the codes only change once a month... with cable each box has its own unique identifier on the network (Yes just like computers) and they check for rogue boxes every 7-8 seconds, plus they use alternating encryption algorithms... if you were anal enough you could set up a fast(ish) pc to decode the encryption as the signal is broadcasted but it would be far easier to just pay the £20 a month.....

Well went up and dropped in some paint etc, still got leccy and i kicked the gas back into life so the fire works in the living room.

Ahh the wee things make all the diff.

Also the cpart of the street seems to be the poverty end so theres only a couple of cars there so I can park mine and the mrs pug outside the living room window.

yeah its ok. Crap area (Foxbar, Paisley) but the street we have is quiet enough and theres not much cars at this one so we can park.

House is ok, wil be when its done anyway.

Took photos as it was and will take photos wehen its done to let you all see.

We have been doing it all on a budget. Painted the bedroom blue, have no cash, but we had a massive tub of B&Q cheap emulsion, so go to her mums and nick some poster paint. pour it in the white and mix with the stirrer in the drill. Its a nice sky blue colour.

Living room was already red and it looked ok so we just got a tin of mixed up red stuff cheap and its a lot better.

Coming on. My sister and the mrs are up there the now painting I have to wait and do something shortly then I can go up.

Well thats me and Amber now in.

Still got stuff to do but we live there now.

So to get online I need to come back here (me mums house).

Anyway we have done not bad. All we need now is a carpet in the hallway and lino or something in the kitchen.

Mananged to get a load of gear ogg my mums pal, her step dad died so we got fridge, freezer, washign machine etc etc.

All in all, not to shabby.

Also All weekend I have been raggign around an LDV luton van. not a bad van actually, top speed I managed was 75 with a lot of funny vibrations and boomign noises, lol great fun http://www.ldv.co.uk/main_site/specialoffers/offer_q4_2003_c.htm one of these beasties, with the big box on the back.

The turbo was whistlign a lto louder after we had it and I managed to blow the exhAUST.

Need to butcher the kitchen to fit the washing machine.

whenever I get round to translate all the stuff that's been added since we changed the design late last year Wink

seriously, I need to figure out how to do it (technically) because the menu stuff needs to be translated too. no promises, but I hope it will be finished in May.

Good man, very very informative site.. missed it when the english side of it fell down. Maybe we can get some sort of sister-sites organised! Wink

I've been thinking about these things too. the thing is, we do have a forum at R19 WORLD. but since we use our own php-board and shut the old one at network54 down, there have been less and less English-speaking visitors. still, I do get a lot of mails because the site is only available in German currently.
so while I am at converting it to English I might as well include a different forum. the current forum is predominantly German and while every user can change the language he wants to see it in, I would need to set up additional categories for English speaking users. doesn't make sense imho.

I've found my love for the R19 back when I signed up in here last week. it's not definitive yet, but I have been thinking about linking "Retro Renault" as the English R19 WORLD forum in the future.

what do you guys think?

Sounds alright to me, no point in having 2 forums competing and also saves you the trouble of setting up a forum
