 nissan 200 sx turbo alarm problem

right my neighbour owns the car its a t reg and he cant seem to be able to do anything with the keyfob at the moment for some bizzare reason.
the red light on the dash flashes as it should but no response to the keyfob ,not locking or unlockin the car ,however the central locking does work with the key .
now when you disconnect the battery and reconnect it you hear the beeping sound of the alarm speaker under the bonnet ,so it is alive too ,
this whole stuff makes me think it needs reprogramming ,


any idea how this is done on a fecking nissan chris or anybody ?????

I assume the battery in the fob is working is it?

yes ben it is working mate,
in fact i think he changed the battery recently and that might have caused the problem

aye will need re-programming.

Nissan shot or a decent automotive locksmith.

would nissan give him the code for free chris? and is it easy to do it yourself once you have the code ?

Usually they charge about £60- £70 to decode the bloody things, it is only a two minute job, my mate has some diog software that gives the codes for most motors, bloody good piece of kit tbh

i think there are people on ebay supplying the codes for different vehicles as well ,its feckin ridiculous though. you own the feckin car so do the code in my book
