how do you get the dash out of a ph2 19 16v the backlights have gone im hoping its just the bulbs (2 i think)it should be they went seperatly one 6 weeks after the other and will r5 subframes fit the 19 i think not but not sure cheers |

which subframes?
do a search on the dash lights, its ewasy enough, if you look through the progress reports theres pics of th edisplay removed. |

oops sorry the seats doh not wit it just finished the circlip and shes going again yeah happy days but for how long lol the gearbox i have for the 5 out back seems to be ok but its missing the casing beside where the clip goes dont know what its called |

not 100% on the seat, you might be able to put the 19 seats o the 5 subframes.
the gearbox casing is damaged? |

its the case you can see from the engine bay it just seems to be covering cogs,ah not too worry im going to take the box off my 5 turbo because i know its working and ive never changed a gearbox before so i reckon if i figure out how to get it off the 5 i'd have half an idea how to get the one off the 19 and replace with the 5 box i'll use the 5 as a learning tool as its fucked anyway and being sold for spares any tips or advice would be greatly appriciated |

its not hard really.
The 5's box will leave a gap between the bottom of the engine and bellhousing as the ph2 19 will have the ally sump. Its not an issue.
You just need to pull the driveshafts, on the 5 take the turbo off as well, the gear link rod underneath and the soeedo cable.
The rear mount on the 19 is a bit of a bastard, it can either come out right away or take hours. |
