right started car up this moring to go to work and it started fine but was not firing right!!!

blip throttle and in sounded like a tank!!!!! very very lumpy engine then after about 5 min settle down and went back to normal high rev limit

so i though water in plugs! took out all ht leads plug well dry no water or anything wet on the lead rubber sourrounds but i noticed through the little slot ware the spark plug cover is located water was in there could this cause trouble with firing???? if its any help the water was the on the side closist to the dizzy

i got to get this sorted cause its doining my head in now with the high revs ( o yer the revs go up and down like its hunting too)
