got no engine oil left at home need to get some urgently with new spark plugs . for the oil i have been using MOTAQUIP 15W /40 since january and thats a 5 litres bottle ,a couple litres were used on my car before the r19 . the reanult 19 used about 3 litres of oil in 11 months time if that means anything good or bad.
i am wondering now if i shall get a thicker oil or a different make ??? the car is at 178700 miles .
for the plugs i am bit pissed off due to haynes treating f3p engines like an orphan , they tell you what plug to use for every single r19 model apart from f3p SPI. so it would be very nice and helpfull if someone can tell me what plugs to go for . is there any point buying any of those high performance plugs ,iridium ,shitium etc ???

that oils fine.
I use 10W30 semi synth stuff, even on my old 205k mile 1.4 energy engine and it never burned it.
Check for oil leaks.
use normal NGK plugs, halfords will tell you what ones you need, don't bother with iridium etc, not worth the cash. |

3 litres of oil is too much is it in 11 months ?? saying that the oil is probably being lost due to the dodgy rocker cover gasket ,i still could not manage to get that 1 of the 8 bolts out to clean the gasket and put back in . |

mines is chewing up oil but thats due to the Turbos seals leaking i suppose.
A bit of useless info there guys, is there any women on this site come to think of it??? |
