the pressure sender is round the rear of the engine on both the clio and 19 engines, so thats the same.

The 19 has the level sender round the front and a 2 spade plug on it.

the clio has a combined level and temp sender in the same place. There sno plug on the sender instead it goes to a plug on the loom.

Heres a pic, this is bens clio 16V btw, the sender screwed into the block bewteen the 2 hoses brown with wires coming out

Chris, is the 19 level sender going to be the same as the one fitted to the 2.0 16v Coupes? I only ask as i'm wanting to fit an oil temp guage and I was wondering if the existing level sensor would also do the oil temp sending when it's finished fannying about with the oil level?

the megane and 19 senders are the same, you need a clio one to get the oil temp unless you fit another sender elsewhere.

Yeah that's what I thought. I guess I could weld a bolt to the sump but i can't be fussed with draining the oil and taking the sump off to do it... too messy Embarassed

fit a clio one, change the wire, you only need to chop the megane looms plug off then use another plug, the other wire is for the temp, so run that to a gauge.

Just called Renault up.... £111 for one Shocked

Think i'll be taking a trip to the breakers yard later today to raid a numerous 16v Clios. Will also take the Clio's connector and part of the loom with it Wink

Well that was an easy way to get filthy and spend £10... better than spending a further £100 plus the dreaded VAT!

Batteries are on charge chap - Will take a pic of it and the re-positioned IK and feed later as i've got to remove the dash for painting as it's a nasty blue colour in an otherwise Black and grey environment Embarassed

Well the doner Coupe was the same colour as Pete's so I guess it was bareable but in the 19 it looks gash so i'm plasti-priming the lot and colour coding it tomorrow if the weather gets any better although it's starting to rain so i'm not getting the car out tonight.

Pic of the newly aquired oil level/temp sender is >>HERE<<

Not entirely sure how it works but I can see a very thin wire and some kind of sensor at the bottom so i'm guessing the wire does the level and the sensor does the temp?
