Any idea where the oil is leaking from?

It only leaks when the engine is running and is leaving loads of little oil pacthes everywhere Sad

Cheers.

If you pull those horizontal black pipes off, it might give you an indication as to whether it is coming from the head, or from a leaky seal behind the flywheel.
If it was the crank seal then there would also be oil dripping out between the engine and the gearbox.

It may be from somewhere else though.
Clean the oil off with thinners, and keep and eye on it to see where it is coming from.

If it's the crankseal then the clutch will be slipping badly.

Not necisarily as the flywheel is in the way and as it spins really fast it would throw off any oil in the short term. It would have to be a fairly big leak to soak the clutch.

I'm not so worried about it exploding but I don't want it to get worse.

Thanks for the offer Dan. Could come in hadny as my mechanic hates Clios lol.

Have you any idea of a price Dan? I was planning on doing this engine rebuild, but head gasket is more important I suppose. Hey we could rebuild and port the head at the same time Very Happy

Pm or Msn me with any details Dan mate.
