Will they lose you HP at the wheels over time?

I ask this as it came up on Williams Clio and no one really knew, i figured Chris H is the bloke to ask Wink

technically the answer wouls be yes.

increased wear means more backlash, thus increased heat.

Mainly a helically cut gear issue, thats why straight cut boxes lose less power.

Cheers, what sort of power would we be talking im guessing its minimal? 1-2hp at the wheels loss? something like that?

depends you can't put a number on it.

Its proportional to heat, the gear its in and so on.
