Hi guys,

I was given a Opel Astra F '92 1.8 hatchback today.
I believe you call them Vauxhall over there Smile
What i was wondering, are your Vauxhalls exactly the same as my Opel Astra ?
Just a different name and some addons maybe?. Ie, is the chassis and mechanical stuff the same?
I know this is Renault off topic but you're my only over the ocean contacts Smile

Cavalier, is that Astra or is it also called Vauxhall Astra?
Mine has a rare 1.8L engine, are they rare in Britain as well? (Saw something called 1.8 Gsi etc on eBaymotors.co.uk ....)

Ps. this car will propably be dismantled by me, busted cambelt on the poor thing (third time over the last 60k km)

Mechanicals are mainly the same but there are some differences because of driver being on the wrong side where you are! Engine etc pretty much the same.

Cavalier is the opel vectra by the way. Is it the SPI 1.8 or the sri/sxi lump?
