yes the braidign is inside.

the returns are just normal hose on the outside with braiding in them.

the pressure lines have rubber like tape on the outside then braided rubber and metal line inside them.

Lot of pressure in the PAS. You need the correct tubing and crimped ends.

Well as it's only the return pipe I'll just use the stuff similar to what I've already got spare. Then I'll shield the feckers with foil. What's best to secure the foil with, or did you just mean to crimp it on?

return is fine with jubilee clips, just hold the foil on with cable ties

Cable ties are the best thing for french cars! Did my sodding arch liner with them last week as the clip wouldn't hold.

In the meantime I'm going to order some heat sleeving for the current return pipe as it runs past the exhaust manifold. See if that does owt.

tin foil, that way you can see if it helps then pay for the decent stuff.

Oh yeah. Easier as well prolly. What's your preferred method for draining the system Chris? If I disconnect the feed to the pump and then connect a length of hose to gravity drain it?

It's still got above the minimum in but is terrible in the mornings and when turning the wheels from pointing right to left. Will the fluid be fucked? I'd have thought it should be ok being ATF.

remove the feed to the pump then run the fecker, that will get it all out, it wont damage the pump iether unless tyouy rev the thing to 7 grand.

if the fluids new I woudl imagine its ok, i doubt it got hot enough to destroy the oil

So if the oil should be ok why is it noisy? I don't want to arse about y'see doing all this for it to still sound like it's on the brink of collapse. Is there a chance it could've dragged some air through?

Any advantage to be had you reckon by bunging in something like Redline ATF or perhaps a more extreme ATF?

Oh, ok. Just thinking that a higher viscosity at high temps might help.
