i think it has just sprung a leak but i want to confirm these are the symptoms


steering is super heavy
there is a real loud noise when steering, sound like metal draggin on the floor
pas fluid is leaking under the car

has my pipe burst? or has something else happened?

pipe, rack or pump, any of them, you'll need to look.

well it only makes that noise when the car isnt in motion

stationairy it's making no noise but is still heavy

Ive had a quick look under it and nothing seems to be dragging.

Chris, where do i look mate and what am i looking for?

check the gaitors on the steering rack for one, these are not meant to have any fluid in, squash them with your hands, if you can hear a squshing type of noise then the seal on the rack has gone and is leaking fluid into the gaitors, thats what happened to mine.

it's cool now

gaitors were fine, i turned the engine on and the battery light came on.???

So i checked in the bay and the aux belt wasnt spinning. It's lost tension. Gonna re-tension it tomorrow, jobs a good'un Smile
