new earth lead time I'd go for first.
I just helped the local idiots push their escy convertable into their driveway.
Got given 20 quid for fitting the pugs aux belt, not to shabby. |

earth lead to shell/engine.
do what I tell most people to do and what I done for doc and alan, get the long braid from halfords (don't bother using 2nd hand one, as your as well not bothering) and run the lead from the batt neg terminal (keeping the existing one there) to the engine where the lead mounts just now. |

tried what you said chris , did not make a tiny bit of a difference , also the condition of the engine to chassis earth strap was brand new as i cleaned that during the project .
i turn the iginition on it makes a big starter turning sound but wont start up and as i keep the key in position ,i can hear the starter dieing slowly
thats deffo new battery now is not it ?
i had this battery on the black rt for 2 years now then swapped to the chammy and god knows when it was put in the balck rt ,so there is a good change it being feckered .
its a lucas jobby btw ,can it be the factory fitted one ???????? |

Ohoo nice to mess with the cars all day.
I've got a new propeller cleaning toy to play with.

Its like swimming with a bloody bear trap.
Used to take over 10 hours in the water with a scraper.
This things a lot quicker if I can manage to hold on to it.
You only die once. |

well you sound like showing a bit of an effort seperating the mentioned ingredients and i thought i could be guiding you in the right direction by advising to get chocolate, mallow and biscuit seperately put them in a plate /on the table etc in the desired order and amounts which would save a bit of hassle unless that "hassle" is the bit you were after in the first place .
only joking mate of course you do have the right to eat your eat cakes ,there is democracy ffs |

Shacks, when i had my ph1 1916v and i used to start her up she would crank up slowly then suddenly fire up, this went on for months till eventually she turned that slowly that she would not start then she eventually just clicked, i was told by Renault that the starter was gone, so £88 and a new starter motor later she is running fine, then 2 months later the exact same sysmtoms happen again, so this time i cleaned the spade connectors on the starter motor and the car started a treat every 2 months i had to keep doing this as the connectors where getting muck etc on them and cuasing the problem,
Maybe worth a try |

hmm ,now you have a good point there roddy ,my car has been starting up after a few cranks since i have been driving her for the last 2 months and i have been having starter problems related to heat actually not having a starter heat shield . i.e (car is fully heated turn the engine off and it wont start untill it cools down)
this has been happening for 2 months ,now 3 days ago this starting problem came up and i have to push start the car everytime apart from the once i jump started !!!!!111
but if the starter is feckering up ,would i be able to jump start it ?????????
btw as far as i could see ,getting the spade connectors look like an arse of a job ,does it involve removing anything else before getting to them ???? |

if the starter is fucked then it doesnt work. no matter how you connect it.
you're prolly slowly killing your starter cos you're running with no heatshield. |
