i will test that tomorrow, i took the TB off today christ it were filthy cleaned it up Smile , vids dont work il try downloadin quicktime Confused

yes but surely you know that 2nd at the limiter on a ph1 is 67mph. sop that should gauge the speed for you.

the throttle does open fully , leads are the right way round, have jus done a compression test and got

c1 = 13 bar
c2 = between 12.5 - 13 bar
c3 = 12.5 bar
c4 = 13 bar

whats u think?

thats fine, might havew the start of a slight blow between 2 and 3 certianly not a lot though at he moment.

cool, wel im narrowing it down slowly, going to change a coroded earth on the gear box then try TPS thats easy to do, dont know how to do CTS any pics of removing it on here? u coming to wsr chris?

I shall be doing my CTS shortly, probably friday or saturday so will do pics etc if u wish.

thanks for that id like some pics, dont even know which one it is, dont have a paddy chris lol, anyways another problems just started on my car its juddering like fook when u put ur foot down like its about to stall whats going on now, this car has never ending problems lmao

i think its fixed now, just changed the frayed earth strap on the gear box Shocked

Going back to the start of the post... I replaced the CTS on my car but it made no noticable difference to my MPG Sad

i dont think many people get more than about 30 mpg with these cars if ur really light on the pedal like keep it under 3k revs i can get it up to bout 37 on a long run Confused

30mpg round town yeah. should get 40mpg easy up to abont 80mph on the motorrway. Around 50mph nearly 60mpg on the computer.

you need someone to look at the thing,. or just get another engine etc

thats the best i have ever got 50mph in fifth on Mway

but normally i can get 50+ miles off a tenner easy just goinghere and there and my throttle only comes with 2 settings

I used to get over 100 miles to a tenner, the red car does about 80 to a tenner and thats with it leaking some out

bah i dont no the exact figure but what i was getting at was i nail the fooker all the time and still get good miles per gallon,

well i can go to weston and back on £15 and thats a good 160 mile return

joking, 160 miles round trip?? spose it probly is. i seem to get about 37 mpg at about 70mph. Is this to be expected? And can i fit a 6th and 7th gear? (joke)
