Is there any potential to get some more HP in a R19 16V?
Bigger exhaust and direct air filter, but what more?

nice subtle mods then eh......surely a chip, ik and exhaust would hike it up a good 30 brake?!?! lol  |

I was only joking...lol, and to be fair the life my cars had those mods mighy/possibly/maybe make up for the loss of power due to age/neglect/raggage! Mines made it to 155k now!!
As much as anything else I put the standard chip back in a few weeks back and the car runs smoother and feels faster without it, whenever I put my foot down proper hard with the chip i'd get a puff of black smoke at every gear change (only at high revs) which I assumed was overfuelling as with the standard chip it's much reduced. In my opinion and it is just an opinion I wish I'd never bought the chip as it just doesn't give a noticeable enough gain to make it worthwhile, at least the IK and exhaust/decat sound quite nice. Chip just made it sound rough as hell on idle.
If only I had the knowlege/funds to do a proper engine build. |
