my mates 16v idling fine but when you touch the throttle its cutting out.any ideas?

it needs setting up with a multimeter if you put a new one on!

wont the 1 of my phase 1 just fit straight on?he's also saying its backfiring a wee bit when revving and stuttering.its also got an induction kit on it and he says you can hear it drawing in a lot of air when idling.

Yes it will fit on, but that thing gives a varying electrical voltage to the ECU depending on how far the throttle is opened.

If you swap them over, you need to use a multimeter to set it in the correct position or it will be giving the wrong voltage.

You will need to know what woltage corresponds to which percentage throttle opening, the ECU uses a value between 0 and 255

Also unless the TPS reads 5% or less at idle the ECU would run the ICV

weve got it changed now chris thanks,just wrote a new topic,fuel lights not working now.changed the fuel sender unit and still not working.any ideas

im not trying to annoy no one im just saying i didnt no fook all about it when i sripped my TB i took it off and when i put it back on i took it as if it slid it would work, if i didnt then i would of adjusted it till it did,no need to get stressy i get enough of that off me women lol

bbracer we didnt use a multimeter either,it just worked.we must have been lucky aswell Confused
