its off the colum, everthing is loose, but i cant drop the rack because there is no where for it to go, i cant withdraw it from the arch because i can get the power teering part of the rack through there, the whole thing is still in one peace.

well the rack has been off for 2 days now and the 19 is just sitting there, i emailed the guy and asked if he had the rack ready yet and the answer was no Confused

he says that the engine has to come out in order for the rack to be removed, so its going to be another sodding week or 2 before i will be able to continue with it, i did however manage to get the instrument panel out but not sure how its going back in, there is no slack on the speedo cable at all.

What condition is the rack in he's sending you? Should be worth the wait... I'd try haggling with that other 19 Razz

i have 2 cars, 1 is the valver and the other is my mk6 escort TD which is what im using every day at the moment, i plan on switching to the 19 when its fully done, 19's have a funny way of bracking down when you least need them to, so i want this one to be sorted before its on the road.

when i was taking the downpipe off the other day one of the bolts broke of in the outlet manifold, i managed to get the thing out by using a very handy nut remover.

Image

these things are amazing, they will even take off a nut that is round.

Image

The lock on the drivers door is buggerd so will need to get hold of a new one and sort out the denting around it

here is a pic of the car without its rack

Image

and of the car itself

more to follow soon Razz

good stuff, what happend to the lock? someone try to break in i assume...
mines like that Sad

them sockets are good, used somelike it to get my lock nuts off.

also i have a set of them ramps too.

never use them tho, always use the axel stands. might give em a blast tho, seeing as cant jack the car up all to high as its low.
