ok, kicking off project rouge in conjunction with the "donations" thread, so what i am going to do is post some piccies when i can and copy from the "donations" thread onto here.

so here i have a "J" plater 19 16v, saved from the great scrapyard in the sky as i believe it is to good to go there!! it has a few faults, many minor, but a couple of harder to fix probs, mainly the head gasket and clutch Confused Confused

so i will make a list of all the bits i need donated, so if you can copy and paste the list with your name beside each part you can donate for free, or the price you want for it, would be grateful. so i can then arrange to collect all the bits in person, hence i need as much for free as possible, i know its a big ask, but i am saving for a wedding, and buying bits for project XIX as well, which i dont mind buying bits for.

the future for this car? well i want to give it to my other half, and sell her fiesta to raise some funds for wedding/honeymoon and if she doesnt want it, or cant get on with it, i will sell it on RR for almost as much as i have paid for it plus the bits i have had to buy Embarassed so it will go for as low as possible as its the least i can do for all the bits that will be donated for free or next to nothing. i dont want to profit from this project...... does this sound ok?

the list of bits needed.........

head gasket
clutch
dash
sunroof (working)
indicator stalk
heater and blower panel with nobs, or just a nob
mirrors now have
driver's seat

will add as and when i need bits, need wheels and tyres but may resort to using the tornados i originally bought for XIX that everyone hates, lol

p.s. bought for £70

hhhhhmmmm. started this the other night, making sure all the lights work, and the rear fog doesnt work, however, i noticed that when i put on either the front or rear fogs, there was a wierd noise that doesnt occur on XIX, theres like a dulling of the engine, like a excess load, and a slight thump, but this is each time, i must admit that i wouldnt have thought there was too much of an extra load on the engine just with these lights surely? very weird, guess the rear fog is just a bulb
