Well today is the day i go and spend my hard earned cash buying a PS2 and GT4. (christopher birthday present)
Someone's very excited about it.
Ill get peace and quiet for a good week or so, so its not all bad!  |

Yeah want to get a double pack as they seem to work out cheaper. Grudge paying 20 quid for one! |

And i want it for watching DVD's in the bedroom. Yes sadly no lesbian has been "got". And i never hear the end of it. Althought now we have all the cable channels someone's a bit happier. need i say more |

im gunna have to see if i can get me an emulator for a ps2 s i cantry this gt4 out....i got ps1 emul. so there must be a ps2 one out there somewhere.... |

Ok just in from lunch.
The ps2 has been bought! Got the console and the game for £115.00 - cheapest i could find.
Also got the guy to knock a fiver off the memory card. So £15. Not too bad.
Christophers already been and got it and took it away! |

I have a feeling there isnt a proper working stable emulator for the ps2 like there was for the ps1. |

chris if its the new 70000 model then if you wish il get you the swap magic and magic switch (doesnt void warrenty) so it can play backups all for 25 quid,, oh btw iv got 200 games for it so im sure youd like some of those as well!!!
johnnyboy i agree xbox is better,,mines is modded with executer 2 pro chip and 40gig harddrive and a few other bits and bobs,,got 125 games for it but i still say ps2 and gt4 is soooo good

Looks like Chris' presence on here will be vastly diminished in the coming weeks then, other than to place GT4 challenges.
My PS2 is modded with a Messiah2 pro, got about 400 games, never even loaded up half of them LOL!
Ive had my xbox about a year and a half (that was a b'day present from the then-missus too), but never really played it much. After JB banging on about it though I chipped it with the Xecuter 3 chip and a 120gb HD recently. Got my elite selection of 20 or so QUALITY games on the HD. Loving it! |

yep its the new slimline model.
She got it from an independant place, apparently the guy in front was buying a megadrive! lol
Anyway GT4.
So there I am start, playing it for a while. I have gone straight from gt2 to gt4 mind.
Anyway managed to get a few silvers in the 1st license test on my first try, damn I'm good.
The decided to have a play around.
It was crap.
When I was playing the cars were not doing what I wanted them to do, and then I noticed the tcs and whatever the hell else it was flashing. So both of them turned off and that was me 1st in most of the races!
So 'driver aids' off (they're for poofs) allowed the car to slide and basically it became a lot more controllable to me.
The graphics have come on leaps and bounds and theres a good choice of cars, far better than I had heard. Played it in arcade mode cos I wanted to see what the new tracks were like.
The rens avaible when you first start are 172, megane 2l 16V new fat arse megane something or other, turbo 2, turbo 2 maxi then if you go to alpine you get the A110.
The beemer M3 and turbo 2 maxi are rather nice round the nurburgring. With the driver aids on the turbo 2 is more controllable but with them off the beemer pips it due to sheer top end.
Still getting to know the courses and theres more to be unlocked as well. |

have yet to get my hands on GT4, but of all the previous GTs i found GT1 and GT2 the best for car handling |

Christopher wanted the PS2 and i want to watch DVDs in the bedroom so its good. He's not actually been playing it that much. Perhaps just not actuall been in the house that much time to get a chance.
Got it in Gamestation. By far the cheapest place i could find. been looking for weeks - ever since i promised him it. |

yeah not played it much really. been busy with other crap and by the time I get in i just fall asleep or watch tv with Amber.
Last night I did eat an impressive amount at pizza hut which was my main priority. |
