big brake conversion for what purpose?

Nothing wrong with stock brakes. Change the fluid and fit decent pads.

Also how thick are the discs?

for fast road Chris, When Neal and I did our rag around hatfields Private Test Track Circuit, after 40 minutes i had almost no brakes left, pedal to the floor and pray i would stop lol.

It had new pads in for MOT last december, Pagid fast road pads.
Discs still look to have plenty of life in them, not scored, not too badly worn.

not the best pic in the world but the best one i have of the discs at the mo, taken 2 weeks ago when i did the front springs

well like I said new fluid and change the pads.

Neals car was dstill fine, the roads where I drive hard are a lot more challenging than anything I havbe seen in your vids etc and I have never experienced fade in the 19, even the 1.4's have been fine.

dot 4 and stock ferrodo pads.

i used to do a lot of 100mph + driving then had to drop to 20 for corners a lot, ben knows the roads i am talking about, no fade ever.

i have newish stock ferodos on mine front and rear and the whole system was bled when i did the rear axle a while back.

I was getting brake fade a bit towards the end, not as bad as Neo it would seem.

maybe the ph1's brake ducts allow me to go longer with the decent stock set up.

Ah yes I remember the roads Chris is on about, I seem to remember 'pansy' cropping up a lot in the midst of conversation.....the moral of the story being never have Chris as a passenger....

I did have the sun glaring in my face and had never driven the roads before so I shall state that in my defence!

Yeah Neo was giving it full beans with me along the motorways etc where he could se where he was going, but as soon as we hit the B road sections of the private test track with blind bends that I know like the back of my hand, he was obviously bottling it and backing off and disappearing into the distance in my rear view.
