 R19 1.4 RT, Cambelt Snapped, is the engine dead ?

Hi all, looking for some advice.

My sis has a R19 1.4 RT K reg, today at 15mph the cambelt snapped, no noise from the engine, is the engine dead?

Thanks for any advice, car is 125 miles away from me, so looking for tips etc

You'll be lucky to have got away without bending valves, the only way to tell is to take the head off and have a look.

valves are bent.

needs a new valves, if shes really unlucky then new bearings and pistons.

But chances are just a couple of valves.
