r19 16v none starter....

NEED HELP!!just got myself a 92 phase 1 and had no problems driving the 27 miles back to my pad.following day,she got to 3500rpm and started missing,spluttering,loss of power,etc.over the next two days the problems got to the point where she wont start!!i have a spark,fuel,compression,air but no joy.i have replaced the leads,plugs,crankcase sensor,tried a good coil and ECU checked all connections,split pipes,no oil in water,no pressure in water system so i dont think its head gasket.completely run out of ideas now and pretty fed up!!on the throttle case is a red sensor with three wires to a plug on it and the wires are pretty naff.could it be this?also under the case is a brass looking sensor with the wire broken off.what is this?any help will be great as i need her on the road. thanks.

yea could be a dodgy TPS which is the red item on the side of the throttle body

Swap the whole throttle body over and not just the TPS.
the TPS needs to be exactly set up, otherwise you will be going thru checking voltages and shit to ensure its set up right.

plenty of valvers getting broken on ebay (sadly) so you should be able to pick up a complete TB with TPS pretty cheaply

when u say under the case there is a brass looking sensor, what do u mean under the case ?
