Hi guys,

Im planning on installing a Pioneer DEH-3100R in my R19 Ph2, since i cant
get the oem philips to work Laughing
Anyways, what is the best way to connect it ?
I think the pioneer has a chopped loom so it doesnt have the standard iso on it.
Do i chop up the Renault loom and connect them together with the radio loom ?

If so, how do i identify the renault wires ?

Yes, im a n00bie with ICE thingies Embarassed

I would just buy cross over cables rather than messing about with raw cabling.

Spend the extra £15 and get a new loomb for your sterio. If you start cutting the wires on the renault conectors it will just look a mess, pluss when you put your RCA's in you will start to pull wires apart.

and the point of that is???

Bodge the wires togeather if you want. I personaly think people that do that are stupid! Especialy when the fix is costs next to nothing. (look on ebay!) Why bodge it when you can do it propery?

I half expect that the guy is going to run at least 2 amps, if thats the case then hes going to have a remote wire and 2 sets of RCA's coming out the back of the sterio. If you've looked behind the headunit then you will have seen the limited space for wires ect. behind. to sort this you can snap off some of the plastic mouldings at the back which help with space.

just get a pioneer iso loom cost ya around 20-30quid and its literally plug and play, and it keeps the wires really neat and tidy 2

If i proceed with this i presume i will buy the ISO connector.
I got the philips radio working at the moment. Will put the cd player in
in the next couple of days.
But if i remember, i dont have the oem loom for my pioneer player.
So i guess i have to buy that too Wink
