 rear brake caliper siezed

hi

my n.s.r caliper has seized cracking the disc (r19 16 valve)

whats the easiest way to sort this ?

take it to renault?

i guess i will need a new caliper and a new set of both rear pads and discs

expensive to sort ?


anyone know were i can get the parts cheaper ?

well if you go to renault yes its going to be expensive.

GSF etc sell discs, so get a new disc. I would replace the pair and stick in new pads.

You need to see whats actually seized on the caliper, wether its the piston or the sliders.

If you have a look on the tech articles you will find a rear pad change guide, this will be of some help to you.

note rear disks house the rear bearings, so either get new ones or you'll have to swap (press) the old ones out and press them into the new disks.
