yes the dust seal not being there will tend to seize it up.
It looks ok enough to be saved, get the piston out a bit more to check its condition then clean it up and fit the new gaiter. |

Sound, so if i say i need a "dust seal gaiter for a rear caliper" the monkeys at Renault will know i am from the same planet as them..
also how far should i get the piston out, does it know when to stop, i.e not pop out? |

no it pops out, renault will want about 40 quid for the seal. |
