This is a arse to do right?

How much of an arse?

Ph2 R19 16v, its none existed basically, just chock the engine up on a block of wood and a trolly jack and then get it out?

On a bastard scale of 1 - 10?

Take it the mount is pretty cheap?

Rear engine mount - about an 7 on the bastard scale, maybe 8. Simple enough job, just fiddly as f****. Mounts themselves aren't that expensive, eurocarparts list it at 26.39, you might find it a bit cheaper.

Yeah, am still pondering. Its cheap as fuck really but only want to get it if I know I'm going to pull my finger out and get it mended otherwise it'll be sat on the drive and the Cordy is in the road for nothing.

I'd say a 9 on the bastard scale.

Its piss easy to change if you remove the engine.

It either goes right straight away or you spend a few hours ont he engine trying to do it, like I did last time.

Its super fiddly.

So what would be the best way of refitting the mount when putting the engine back in?

IF the engine is out of the car then it should be pretty easy to fit

remove engine remove mount from subframe, bolt new mount in leave bracket on gearbox btw then re-insert engine and bolt back up.

Sorry meant the bracket more so than the mount. The mounts bolted in there already just wanted to know the handiest way of reuniting it with the bracket on the box. So the best way is to leave the bracket on the box then drop it all in (eng and box)?

yep do it that way.

To change the mount with the engine in that bracket has to come off and its a proper bugger of a job. Thats why the jobs so fiddly.
