ive already got one from him curing off as i type...

what does he need another one for i wonder?

The free rear mount uprating service has come to an end, any further ones require payment, or at the very least, sexual favours from wives/girlfriends/sisters etc.

3 years is pretty shite considering the standard ones last about 10 (if youre lucky...otherwise 8 or so), and theyre crap.

mine hasnt lasted that! it was new when i bought the car

but theyre not strong enough to hold the 16v lump is what you told me, but they will definatly last alot longer than the standard item

Youre not talking about the one you took off and sent me to be reconned then, as that one was made in 1991.

Dont get smart with me Razz That was sarcasm/exaggeration, and i was referring to mine which is a pattern part.

o rite, i was told when i bought the car that the rear mount had just been replaced for the mot! well, i'll see if its viable to make a polyurathane mount, if it is, i'll stick it on my car, and get a few prototypes made for testing, for certain people on here.

yep they collapse down even new, it is twisted, its not held in direct line like it should be.

matters not if its a 1.4 or 16V they all sit like that!

clio/td/megane set up is far better

cud maybe just elongate the hole in the frame to allow the mount to sit more in line.

funny you should mention it chris as i have actually recently been looking at my spare front mount trying to think of a decent way to do it. I think it will require more modding than just extra rubber added though. Would need more metal work to 'brace' the rubber fore and aft.

OK Dan, ive just sent your reinforced mount off. Not my prettiest work, but its good enough for you Razz

It is 'well packed' (a lot better than the bloody jiffy bag you sent it to me in); your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to open the package without using scissors, a knife or indeed any implement other than your own fingers Laughing
