it is a straight swap, as long as your new discs have the bearings pressed in them.

If you purchase the discs and bearings separately do you need any special tools to press them in? Can the old bearings not be re-used? Anyone know a company who supplies rear discs with the bearings alreay in, and a cost? Does ABS make a difference?

Yes, you need to press them in with a press. Some people, including Chris, say you can tap them in with a socket and a hammer, and you can make it very easy by putting the discs in the oven to grow them, and the bearings in the freezer to shrink them.

In my experience, you need to press them in though.

You can buy them with bearings in, but the only place I know is Renault. You can re-use the old ones but tbh you may as well put new ones in, and the old ones will probably break up when you press them out anyway.
