Here's a pic of the rear tyre wear I'm getting. This is the driver's side wheel. It's wearing more on the outside of the car than on the inside. The passenger side is wearing evenly though.

Here's a close up of the outside edge of the same tyre....

So seeing as the rear tracking isn't adjustable on 19's, does anyone have any idea what might be causing one of my tyres to wear like this? I'm guessing something to do with the suspension? Because I haven't to my knowledge driven over anything even close enough to knock the wheel out of line like

I already told you, someones handbrakes the thing into a kerb and bent the rear axle.

I know you have told me that lol, but I didn't take any notice cuz it sounded like you were havin a laugh! It hasn't been like this the whole time I've had the car, it's just started recently.......so basically someone must have stolen the car one night, took it for a joyride, handbraked it into a kerb, and then......I dunno.....suddenly felt really guilty for stealing it.....and then returned it to my house?!?!

So it can't be a suspension problem or something? Or anything that actually makes more sense than someone doing something that I KNOW hasn't happened to my car? Or you think it's gotta be the rear axle's bent?

well unless some else came along with a good hydraulic ram and bent it in the night then you have obviously belted the thing.

No other way for it to happen.

Suspnsion wear will not cause that, the things been bent.

Hmmm....trying to think what I've driven over recently! I did hit a badger which went all the way underneath the car like......but that is one hell of a badger to do that lol, and I was only doin about 30mph when I hit it. And there are sooooo many speed bumps where my girlfriend lives.....but I go over them at like 1mph.....I really can't think of anything obvious tho. Ah well

So where do I go from here? To a scrappy to get a new rear axle I'm guessing?! lol

fget it 4 wheel aligned first mate.

It could leven be the tyre itself.

its it just the one side or both?

Well my mate keeps telling me to get my rear tracking done, and I've always thought that was just something that was possible on all cars since he mentioned it like......but ATS said there is no rear tracking adjustment on a 19 16v. My mate's got a honda prelude, which has got 4 wheel steering, which is why I assume he has got rear tracking adjustment. So yeah I can't get the rear wheels aligned can I? This is the whole problem like.

Well I did have 4 toyo proxe T1-S tyres on the car, and comin up for MOT time in may, my rears were pretty much bald (both sides of the car nearly bald, but only driver's side wearing un-evenly) and the fronts were still okay.....so I put the fronts on the back and got a new pair of Toyo proxe T1-R's for the front. So now since may, they're nearly bald again. Same thing.....both are nearly bald, but passenger side is wearing evenly, and driver's side is uneven. So it's happened with 2 different sets of tyres on the back like. It's weird cuz the passenger side, for example.......is wearing evenly......but it's wearing out really quickly.......like the same amount as the driver's one which is wearing unevenly :S

It's weird, and I dunno why it's suddenly started happening this year like

My brakes (one of the several, seemingly never ending problems that I am gonna sort out 'one day' lol) are a bit shit to say the least! And yeah I was in a 30 limit about the normal distance you should drive behind the car infront.....and then the badger just slipped out of the hedge into the gap between me & the clio infront, and there was nothing I could do about it.

Okay so maybe I was doin 35 lol
