Reluctant starter

My 1.4 carb'd 19 is always reluctant to start, have to pump the pedal a few times with the choke on to get it to go, and then if i try to rev it, it dies... Once its warm though its fine. Any ideas? Still pretty lost when it comes to carbs.

carb needs cleaned and set up.

Carb has been cleaned Razz

was scrubbed with a mixture of cillit bang degreaser, white spirit and carb cleaner, jets were removed and cleaned.

Now...how do I go about setting it up? Bearing in mind im a complete dummy when it comes to carbs, the onlyadjustments i see are the idle and mixture screws...so what do i do?

Cillit bang probably ate away at the casting so it's probably fucked!

Have you tried the cillit bang de greaser? Its only just manages to eat through grease, let alone anything else.

well I can tell you but chances are you'll just make it worse.

Look in the haynes manual that will get you close.
