Can anyone suggest how best to remove this. I took the wheels off yesterday to do a bit of work and unfortunately one of the wheels nuts snapped. I've put some pics below and as you can see with the disc removed there is a bit of it sticking out but I don't know how best to remove this. I can't even try to remove is as the hub just spins, lol. I was going to fanny about with it tomorrow to see what I can do, but thought I would see if anyone has any suggestions from past experiences.

Pics are HERE and HERE

Thanks.

u should be able to unscrew that

when mine went i used a pair of molegrips on the stub and simply unscrewd it

if its really tight, try a blowtorch on it or you could as well cut a groove into the top of it and get a screwdriver on it to turn it

thanks neo. I was planning on trying mole grips but just wanted to see if there were any other suggestions. The main problem I had is that it kept spinning, but I've got a few ideas for how to stop it so hopefully I'll get it out OK.

I wish they all snapped like that.

clean the threads up thgat you can see then spray some wd-40 ion it, leave it for a WHILE THEN COME BACK AND UNSCRERW IT. TO STop it spinnign put it in gear.

yeah I was a bit relieved when I saw there was some sticking out. It was still spinning even when I put it in gear, which is really why I came on he about it - but I'll try what BenR suggested on another forum which was to put a breaker bar on the end of the hub nut to hold it still.
