19's a far better handling car. Standard speed wise theres not much in it.

21 for power. But its still a crap engine, way behind the competition of its peers.

Having owned both, the 1916v has excellent handling and good figure hugging seats, and its much more of a nimble and go kartish drive, the 21t is more of a cruiser, bigger car, on the twisty roads i think the 1916v would have the upper hand due to its better handling, but hit the open roads then the 21t will be flashing the 1916v out the way so it can unleash its mass of torque Cool i travel up and down the UK in my 21t regulary and on the motorway its just amazing, as for the engine's being crap, well thats more to poeple turning up the boost and not maintaining them properly, and just thrashing the living hell out of them Sad i know guys who run 18-19psi boost, 249bhp, and get no problems at all becuase they look after the car, but it does help if you have a good engine from the start, (dont buy a thrashed one) a good healthy one will take about 18psi safely with no mods, but after that you need to start uprating the engine, and thats where the problem's begin, poeple turn the boost up to 20 odd psi with NO mods then wonder why the cylinder liners crack Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

The engine is inferior to its peers like I said. 8V turbo, ultimate power is very poor as well.

YB cossie lump older and far superior to the ren lump. The VX LET again older and far superior.

French cossie chaser but never catcher. The pug MI16 T is again far superior.

I suppouse it depends on what purpose you want the car for, you cant really compare the 2 i dont think, they are 2 completely different cars and both great in there own way, it would be like trying to compare an orange against an apple ... Laughing

I like the 21 Roddy.

But I would pick a cav/cally or a cossie over it tbh. They both have the benefits of 4wd. Well the vx's fuse 19 decable not included!

But if I got the 21 at the right price then clearly I would get that instead.

Got to be a Renault 21 Twin turbo for me Very Happy .

Unless there's a 19 out there that can run 0-60 in under 5.5sec's and do a 1/4 in the 13's Question . Of course, "it must still be a road car" at 40mpg Wink
