I see it a lot.

I remember towning the white chammy with the 1.4, the drivers sie wheel came right off and was 90 degrees to the road, pulled the driveshaft etc off, still towed fine, I never noticed, until anothe rdriver overtook. I stopped then saw it. It was then george told me neither the lights or horn worked! fpmsl!

Also on the black exec, 105mph on the test track home, there was a funny clonking, yep no pinch bolt.

I see a lot like that, mnost of them are rusted solid so they are ok.

what/where is the pinchbolt?

ill whip the wheel off soon as i get the time and see what it looks like. new lower arm is only £22 from my local motor factors which i dont think is too bad, balljoint is £11.

it's even better than you think my friend, the arm should come with a balljoint attached Smile

ive had a good look and its the drivers side, not the passenger side which has play on it.

this is wierd as the noise seems to come from the passenger side while driving??

i think its the balljoint, there is excessive play when you jack the car up and wiggle the wheel left and right, and up and down. the other side is fine, no play at all.

could it be anything else? are they easy to replace?
