Just wondering if anyone has some more information about GTE?
I can't figure out the production count of that car, I think that it wasn't produced at same numbers as GT turbo, also on the net there are some topic about this car, saying that GTE was suposed to be a Valver, but never did happend because Renault shut the line in 1991, other sources say that it was made because of emission regulations...and so on...
I'm just curious about my car, so I would like to know some facts if there are any... |

GTE is 1.7i, F3N engine, 69 kw...
Same on the outside and inside like GTT

so its the same as the R5 gtx in uk (1.7i) but has no R5GTT bodykit |

I don't know if it's the same, GTE has same front and rear suspension as GTt, same interior, same wheels...
I don't think that GTX in UK has all those things inside... |

there are loads of 1.7 5's around.
the monaco had the gtt body kit and 1.7 engine in it. |

I know there were lot's of R5 with 1.7 engines...
If only I could find some more info on GTE...it seems like it was supossed to be "next" GT turbo, or at least the second option, much like Pug 205 Gti 1.9 and 1.6.
Here are some details from my GTE when I bought it, it was complete in original state...
interior;

gtx didn't have the same suspension as the gtt the top mounts were different for a start the gtx has drums on the back so the rear is a different axel and the gtx didn't have efi it used a twin choke solex z10 |
