Hi

Running on winxp installed Renault Dialogys today, for the 10th time!!. First time i insalled it it worked fine. Formatted the system last week.

Now as usual as i launch the dialogys it just opens up in the top left hand corner and doesnt do anything, doesnt load, doesnt crash just stays as a little box??

I remember when i installed it ist said that i have to install the driver cd to install the NT drivers, does anyone have this??

Is anyone else having this problem??

Trued to run it under win 95, 98 Me 2000, and NT Pack 5 but keep throwing up faults exceptions>>

Can anyone advise??

Its the official Ren software that dealers use I believe. Got lots of repair manuals etc in it.

I had the 'small box in top left corner' problem and it was down to my quicktime for java environment variable being wrong. I fixed it manually, by right clicking on My Computer, selecting Properties, then in the window that appears from doing this, going to the Advanced tab, then clicking on the Environment Variables button near the bottom. If you scroll down the list of System variables, there should be a variable called QTJAVA, with an associated path, which you can change by clicking on the edit button once the variable is highlighted (by left clicking once on it). This path must be valid or else dialogies breaks - make sure that the qtjava.zip file is in the right place using windows exlorer or summink.

Hope this isn't too techy - if it is then just try reinstalling quicktime and make sure you select to install the "Quicktime for Java" bit (or whatever its called). Obviously you also need a Java Runtime Environment installed too since the whole program is in Java.

Good luck!

lots of repair manuals does it?

tbh its pretty wank, its good for pricing up stuff and looking for other parst to use instead of whats there.

It tells you why renault dealers can't tell their arse from their elbows.

any install the abotu a billion times and it'll work.

lol well I did say 'I believe', cause I haven't got much use out of it either! Smile
The whole vehicle selection thing seems pretty pointless and I always end up with a variety of documents relating to clios, the new megane, lagunas and sometimes others when I try and find 19 info. Most of the decent info from dialogies is found in Haynes I reckon, usually written up much better too.

I have to say I have yet to find anything of use in this manual, its probably of more use for the later model clios etc 'cause its got b******s all about the 5/19 range!

i just find it useful for the exploded drawings...when your unsure where things should go...and of course part numbers and a rough price.
