Help - Renault Megane classic - 1.6 - R reg

Had this car for 2 years now, always had a problem with it stalling at junctions etc. Problem worse now that i sit in heavy traffic all day, car just cuts out and dies on me, any thoughts? As soon as i take my foot of the gas to slow down or change gear or something, it stalls............not consistently though, although a good few times a day!

Losing the plot with it............HELP!!! Rolling Eyes

I have had a new lamda sensor unit put in, that was the first thing we tried..............no joy ;-(

Will try check earthing, road speed sensor, coolant temperature sensor, in that order, Reluctant to put into renault as family friend put their car on the diagnostic machine and it didnt detect the correct fault, £1500 later his fault is still there!

The other thing on the Dialogy's is there is a known fault with some throttle pots that casues idle problems and stalling

why don't you read my tech articles!

And the dialogies is as much use as a bannana for fixing anything.

Lambda sensor causing a car to stall? What next the moon causing it to blow a tyre?
