the thing i was trying to figure out was how the f*** did he know where i lived!!...not seen him for awhile...

Similar thing happened to me with my Cordoba, except it was some welsh bloke stalking me off the internet about my Cordoba. I gave up in the end and sold him the damn thing!

Ireland's a mare for insurance.

In fact the costs of running a car in Ireland seem astronomical compared to the UK!

Nope, I've always had my own insurance..

17, TPFT Renault 19 1.4 RT £1100 - Quoteline Direct
18, TPFT Renault 19 1.4 RT £450 - 1yrs NCB, NU
18, TPFT Renault 19 16v Chammy £550 1yr NCB, NU
19, TPFT Renault 19 16v Chammy £525 2yrs NCB, NU
20, TPFT Cordoba 2.0 16v SX (same group as a 16v), £390 NU
21, TPFT Cordoba 2.0 16v SX, £375 NU
21, TPFT, Renault 19 16v 3dr £390 NU (dunno why it was more then the Cordoba)
21, FC, Volvo S40 1.9TD XS £295 Very Happy - Current Car Embarassed

We have quite a few insurances with NU so they've always been good to me over the years, the did try and send me a renwal for £250 more then what they quoted me online for the Cordoba when I was 20 but a quick call sorted that out. 22 soon, wonder what they'll quote me on my old fart car now!
