rev counter suddenly stops working. sometimes needle stays where it was when it stops/ have to tap glass to drop it back to 0 / any thoughts. also sometimes get a loud bang sound on startup followed by very rough idle till reved up, ps when first turn ign on rev counter moves slightly and is ok
strange anyb ody help on these 2 items ta |

the rev needle sticking is due to the gauge face lifting off and jammign the needle, most o it when the sun shines on the dash.
what engine is it? |

hard to define but runs lumpy as on only a couple of cyls untill reved up only does it once in a blue moon car runs sweet for 180000 |
