Cheers Chris for putting the piccies up mate Very Happy

I had the R25 1st, that one is the 2.2GTX model, she was a lovely car, used to talk to you lol, i then traded it in for the black 1916v, i considered that one to be my 1st serious car, i saved up for it the lot if you know what i mean, there where not alot about when i got her so she definetly turned heads, a real magnet Very Happy lets just say i was then "forced" (CSA) to get rid of her, i had to go back a few days later to get my stereo out of her and she was sitting in the fore court with the price banner on the roof ....truly gutted i was Crying or Very sad drove a banger for a while then got the white 1916v ph1, and had her for 5 years, not much had not been replaced on her during that 5 years, but i loved it though, like a train on rails, then in nov 2002 i half heartily sold her to an Army collegue who promised to look after her but then smashed her up in Germany whilst drunk Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad twat, but i still get peeps to this day saying they loved the black one lol, but the white one was cool too i think Very Happy
The leather change was akward on the white one as the seat bolts under the car where soild, so i had to do it do it from in the car, and nearly all the torx bolts started to round, was a right pain in the arse, took me hours to do the job because of that, but was well worth it when done Cool

As for the workshop floor lolol Very Happy yeah, its an Army workshop floor (in Edinbrugh), trust me, they are kept spotless, every Friday for 3 hrs we all had to chip in and hose the floor down, buff it with an industrial buffer, get rid of all spillage's, tyre marks etc, then polish it, and that happen's everywhere in the Army, not just that one lol, we where not allowed to knock off till the Transport Officer had inspected it ...and if he was in a bad mood we where fucked lol Laughing Laughing

Easy enough mate, just drive to the new camp you are posted to, then once you are there you have got one month the Re-register the car to Germany, this consists of the car going through a German version of the MOT which is much tougher than our's (emision's is the big thing over there) the number plates and tax disc also get changed, but still stay uk numbers though, this is then put onto the German version of the DVLA's file's, you are not allowed to use your car until ALL this happen's, it gets confined to the camp (after the one month grace has run out) the waiting list is long somtimes and iv heard of guys not being able to use there cars for months while they are waiting for the inspection date to arrive....not good, and if your car fails the test then its a nightmare, so your car does have to be in good nick over there, but on the plus side, your car is no longer registered with the DVLA in the UK, so when you come home on leave the speed camera's cant register your UK number plate, its funny too when the coppers stop you becuase they cant get a feedback on you plates lol Laughing , but when you leave Germany for good the car details go back to normal.
My XR3 i had in Germany was USO 177X in the UK, but UCD 193X in Germany.

Roger, are you in the REME, or a civilian contractor for them ?
