Siezed spark plugs

Anybody got any tips on how to get them out ??

soak them with WD40

wont the heat from the engine free them off? like run it for 20 odd minutes down the mway, then come home and take them out as soon as you stop the engine?

they are siezed because of the heat by the sounds of it Rolling Eyes

Got them out, but my arse was twitching with every bit of pressure i put on Shocked

i let the engine heat up a bit then sprayed some WD40 in the well's, let it soak for 15mins then gave it a go, 2 of them where so so, but 2 where utter scary Laughing

its the plugs that dont have washers on them, they are tapered, and seemingly that type are buggers for "welding" themselves to the head Shocked

iv put abit of copper grease on the new one's aswell.

I also fitted some nice new Magnecor ignition leads aswell, she seems to be idling alot smoother now, but i think thats more to do with the old Champion one's being fooked more than anything, they looked like they had been on there since the battle of the Somme Laughing

I got a new engine from Renault in January 2003 and the engine came with nice shiney new plugs in it Very Happy

new as in brand new? how much did that cost you ?

Â£910 exchange, they normally kept a couple in the factory in England but had none left so i had to wait 6 weeks for it to come from France,

They are dearer now, one of the lads in the 21toc has had to pay about Â£1200 i think it was, and he had to wait for months for it to arrive.

It was the bill i got for finding out what was wrong with the old engine, for it to be removed and the new engine to be fitted that was shocking, and that was not even Renault dealer prices, but lets not go there Crying or Very sad

What was truely gutting about the whole thing was that i had sold my white ph1 1916v hatch that i had for 5 years and which i loved to bits to a work college, it had new "everything" on it Laughing

then 2 weeks into 21turbo ownership i found out that the engine was goosed, and i had to watch the other guy driving about in my "old" 1916v with not a care in the world Crying or Very sad

then 3 months later he had a head on collision in the 1916v whilst drunk and wrote the thing off ......twat Mad

i have no sypmothy for people who drink and drive.

they get what comes to em.
