Coming up for sale shortly will be a mechanically and structurally sound example of a Phase 1 19 GTS in Iceberg Silver. I have put less than 300 miles on this car since buying it, this is because it was meant to be my runaround while I did the V6 conversion on my other 19 but then I got offered the Vectra and therefore it's hardly been used.

Looking around the car the bodywork generally is in good nick with just a little rust on the rear offside arch. Elsewhere the front bumper has a crack in it, the bonnet has a few small chips and most of the window rubbers have started to bubble (like they all do) but on the whole it's not in bad fettle for a car that's as old as some of you young 'uns that come on here!

Like I said it's structurally and mechanically sound, the sills are immaculate, and the body (bar the aforementioned arch) is rust free, as you expect to see in a Phase 1 19. The exhaust system appears to be in as new condition and the engine bay is immaculate. The oil filter is a genuine Renault part and the whole car seems to have been well maintained throughout it's life. The mileage is genuine and I have just about all of the old MOT certificates to back this up.

I put the car in for it's MOT when I got it back home and all it failed on was a leaky rear wheel cylinder which I have since replaced along with a new set of brake shoes so it should now sail through it's MOT which I intend to put in for next week. The only non-cosmetic problems with the car are that the sunroof doesn't work and that the clutch pedal ratchet feels a little worn. It doesn't cause a problem though and gearchanging is silky smooth for now but it will need changing at some point down the line.

That's about all I can think of, it's a great little car that would be ideal as a reliable runabout or second car, and I suppose it has potential as a sleeper should someone want to put an F7P or even an F7R in it!

Car is 10 minutes outside of Newark-on-Trent in the East Midlands. (Postcode NG23 6JQ)

If interested send me a PM. I'm looking for around £350 ono which is a bargain considering the mileage, service history, condition and the MOT it will have on it.
