This is a cracker - the guy is selling his Renault 19 16v, but he's taken off the exhaust system to sell on another auction.

Fair play maybe, it might be a brand new system only on the car for a week - nope, its a knackered old Scorpion jobbie.

WTF?

Used to be mine a couple a few years ago that. Was mint and standard when I had it though. I'm going to try to get it back for a project. just e-mailed the guy asking if there's anything else stopping it from being driven as i'll stick an exhaust on it and drive it away if he doesn't want too much for it.

well, he's e-mailed me back....

"it burnt out one of the ignition wires which he got fixed. it hasnt burnt out again but some times when switched off from running the engine coolanttemp gauge light and oil temp gauge lights stay on and the positive bat lead has rubbed through which actually could be the problem. its starts and runs fine. would be able to drive with an exhaust."

Any ideas anyone?
