fucks sake, if you don't know the answer be quiet.

clio efi and 19 EFI speedo cables are the same, they both fit and work fine.

Only ones to avoid are carbed model as they don;t have the road speed sensor.

The speedo cable has seized to the box it won't come out easily even with the box out on the bench it will take some work.

What use is a new cable if the speed drive inside the box has sheared? None at all, box needs removed and the part replaced or another box.

look in project Y progress report theres plenty of box end speedo cable pics in there.

cable length is the same efi or not, the clio cable is 10mm shorter but still fits.

the GSF one is a non efi cable.

All efi cars have the road speed sensor as its one of the main inputs to the ECU!

if the cable isn't spinning when you drive the car then its knackered, just to check jack up a wheel, stick it in 5th and turn the wheel, it shoudl rotate.

If its not turnogn then its either not in the box right or something has broken. more than likely the plastic drive.

personanly I would live with it.

got the fecking thing out in the end . now i got the both sides of the speedo cable in hand and can make further inspection
Image

this is what the gearbox end is supposed to spin
Image

had to get the ins. panel again not happy at all ,i can do this quite easily now wihout even taking the steering wheel off Laughing
Image

now i can spin the gearbox end using my drill thingy and he speedometer works while doing that .i found out the cable was routed incorrectly by me after fitting the new matrix ,so that was the reason speedo fecked up in the first place . WHATS THE RIGHT ROUTING ????
Image

but after getting the inner cable out i have seen this ,not very healty looking but still spins the speedo not sure if the readign would be accurate though ??????????/

yeah you broke that good and proper! Well fucked now!

You need a new cable and the rest of the cables still stuck in the box btw.

Lol either chop the new cables metal end off or remove the box and drill the housing and use heat to remove whats left of the cable end.

you now need to get a new cable and chop that metal part off or remove the box and extract it or the easier option of a new box.

they normally stick because only some where greased liek they should have been at the factory. they weld themselves togethter, normally box out lots of heat etc gets it shifting.
