just won these on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=8017630297&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT

and they arrived , after a very close inspection ,i found out they are so similar to my 16v one in the shed . however the original 16v one is about 10cms shorter than these Rolling Eyes

so how are they meant to lower a r9 about 35mm ?

also what would be the difference between these and some r19 16v lowering springs as i cant see any other than the length ?

will take pictures tomorrow

assuming the picture on the auction is of the springs you have, theyre nothing like 19 16v springs, other than being generally spiral spring shaped.

If the auction picture is wrong and they are plain springs like the 19 16v ones, then the spring rate will at least be different.

here are some actual pictures ,looks like they are narrowing down on one end opposed to the 16v spring ,so that i suppose is the main difference
also the coils seem to be made of thinner metal Rolling Eyes

anyway

lol they are shite!

standard ones are stiffer so with these new ones expect roll and lotsa of it unless they go coil bound then expect a really hard and ultimately damagign ride.

one question here though, after i take the front legs out ,am i right thinking that i have to avoid the front wheels touching the ground as they will collapse or damage the drive shafts ?

virtually every FWD renault of the era had a JB3 box schakal, only difference between them is the the ratios, to suit the different characteristics of each engine.

shaks a jb3 fits on a 16v i know cos I have done it the only difference is the gearing longer or shorter ratio's and diferential's but the casing is the same. in fact the jb3 and the 16v box are the same its the internal bits that are different. hope that clears that up for you shaks. all the mounts are the same. renault 9 11 5 1.7 drive shafts are the same. infact almost every thing from a mk2 5 9 & 11 and clio are interchangeable except body pannels.
