i meant the bushes on the lower arm.
well lookin from underneath at the subframe bolts...the frt ones, tucked up quite high, i can put a socket ont he drivers side one but not obn the passenger side...theres a metal plate in the way! i dunno what it is yet..will have to look at it more. pain in the arse whatever it is |

ok its the mounting bracket for the towing eye...its right in the way of the subframe bolt. well i would have thought this is the same for all models? so how come non of u lot have the same prob? i cant see how mine is in the wrong place either cos it sticks out where it should.

jonny, did u ever resolve this ?
my ph2 is doing something similar now.
its like where i have an inch or so of play on the steering wheel.
approch a corner, turn the steering wheel, nothing until you have moved it about an inch and then the steering responds, happens whichever way you turn the steering wheel.
lower ball joints were replaced a couple of months ago and trackrod ends done just over a year ago. |

I'd say steering column for than un neo.
pull the gaiter back and pack it with 'stuff', like card etc make it solid, if that sorts it problem found. |

yeah, as far as I can remember the knocking was just btm ball joints and the wandering was loose top strut nuts. |

and out of curiosity if it does sort it, then its a column swap out for a permanant fix ? |

wow this PH2 is so shagged lol
only thing that went wrong (so far) on the ph1 is the diff circlip, this Ph2 is never ending lol
tensioner pully, clutch pedal, snapped front spring, worn balljoints, cracked expansion tank, leaky steering rack, worn trackrod ends arrgghhhhhhh
anyway how much u want for the column ? |

13mm spanner, T20 screwdriver, 13mm socket and extension. 21mm socket for steering wheel. |
