Car just failed it's MoT and one of the items it failed on was the 'lower steering colum universal joint'.

I assume this is what connects the steering colum to the rack?

Is it hard to replace and is it costly for a replacement part?

Also, need new disc's on 3 corners....do I need to replace the pads too? And how much is a decent set of disks and pads?

Cheers.

do disks and pads together, also probably best to do all 4. cost depends on where you get the parts from. on the rears if its the same as the 19 16v you will also need new wheel bearings and the rear. cost also depends on who is doing the work
