under the light does it come off?

i have noticed a crack in the weld on the drivers side that attches it to the wing (hence the 1st line lol) as i got to respray the strip i was thinking off smoothing the welds up, if it comes off i doubt i will bother

In short yes it comes off... Remove the Torq bits and unclip it. Carefull as it's clipped in to the wings and you can break it!

goes under the lights neal

between the lights and bumper and made of metal

doesnt look like it comes off to me its welded

well thats welded on isnt it? part of the shell?

Although thinking about it yeah i suppose it could be clipped/screwed on and then sealant in the seams under the lights...

yea welded so i thought you couldnt remove it i want to blend the welds flush

so your effectively grinding the welds off, nice and safe in a crash then.

no 1 weld is cracked and im gonna weld it up and blend both sides up and not grinding the welds off plus i doubt that would do much for you in a crash anyway

I hardly think grinding a bit of weld that holds on an essentially cosmetic piece of bodywork is going to have any effect on crash safety.

Besides, if you're talking about the seam I think you're talking about, it will require filling rather than griding to make it smooth...

JUST to get rid of the small indentation to the side of the rear lights?
