Well....I was going to do this, but was told by the females of the house that the carpet would shrink.

yeah, thats a definite possibilty i guess. Also, it has a sort of stiff backing to it... i bet that would go all floppy.

Have to wait till a jetwasher becomes available i suppose...

Probaly fuck the washing machine.

Get it on a bit of clean flat concrete, plenty of water from a hose, good dose of dish soap and a light brush with a medium stiff long handled brush.

Works with sails an covers. Come up like new.

Rust stains need acid. Oil ect, try Clit Bang Oxy clean or a good dose of dish soap (let it soak).

If above doesn't. Find a mate with a boat that does about 8 knots. Tie the carpet to a strong bit of line (rope). Tow behind in clean sea water for one hour.

Cheers

Mmmm, hadn't thought of the washing machine Laughing Desperately need to do something with my boot carpet (FULL 5 litre oil container fell over!!! Shocked about half of it ended up on the carpet!). Don't think the washing machine would be very good for the carpet tho' likewise the carpet wouldn't be very good for the washing machine! Pressure washer (with hot water) and loads of fairy liquid? Think an angled surface might be good to let the soapy water run away from the carpet.?

washing machine won't shrink it but its really to big. I have done it before it doesn't clean it all due to the folds.

best was is on the slabs/tarmac and jet wash the fecker.

Takes a while to dry though.
