hey all,

Ive been using my 16v the last few days for a fair bit of mileage compared to normal. Suddenly at the end of today when started, it seems to struggle to keep just over 1000 revs at idle. On some occasions it falls so low it conks out.

If i rev it for a minute or so at 2000 it seems to correct itself and run normally. Anyone one know any reason why this is happening.

Any info much appreciated.

Thanks

Liam

sounds like the good old road speed sensor earth.

If you pop the dash top off and check the sensor on the speedo cable it shoudl be clipped together securely. Also make a new earth fo rth eearth wire on it.

Its a common problem, try a search.
