Hi all,

The 19 (1.4 RTi E7J) is being a twat.

It all started after a run to Plymouth and back on Thursday. I start the car and it idles fine then when I rev it to pull away between about 1500-2500krpm it judders and seems to have a huge flat spot and goes "put put put put" as if it's back firing on all cylinders, but after 2500krpm it stops?!?!?!?!? Evil or Very Mad

I have check all the plugs, dizzy, rotor arm, ht's etc for water/crap etc and check the throttle housing and filter, but that seems to have not helped.

Please any help would be great! Sad

How can I fix it or is there not much I can do?

I don't really want to be paying out loads to sort it.
With the ported head it's been fine since January and I've only had a little bit of a shake in the idle, but nothing when it's driving.

It was pissing down when I drove it home the other day, would that have started it?

black rubber small bore pipes that run to the charcoal canister and map sensor, make sure they are clear and not blocked or broken/split.

how do you clean then/ spray carb cleaner through them.

What if it isn't that?

Checking the Haynes (might be alod of crap), but it says that if the TPS is fecked then the lower half of the throttle hosuing needs to be renewed and check with some Renault XR25?!?!?!?

I hate cars.

Really?

Well I did give it a drive and it went away when the car was warmed up.

Could it be anything else?
